Metalier brass gold metal finish is made to order as brass, like other metals oxides as soon as it leaves the earth.
Sheet metal brass is almost twice the price of even the most highly-polished Metalier brass finish. And our brass finish is only about 1/7th of the weight. This has a huge implication for the use of metal in architectural applications. Walls and door lintels do not need to be strengthened to cope with the weight of solid brass.
The look and feel of solid brass can be achieved on cost-effective substrates such as MDF. If you need strength, then a brass metal finish on steel may be a suitable substate alternative. Both are viable options with our Metalier Liquid Coatings.

However it is importation to remember applications and finishing are all done by hand so each piece is individually crafted and no two craftspeople will produce an identical finish. This is one of the beauties of the coatings.
